Admiral’s Seat may have been moved from higher up and was perfectly positioned to look out across the rolling hills to Lyme Bay. It’s said that Lord Admiral Nelson, who’s niece lived at Cricket St. Thomas, used to visit and sit in Admiral’s Seat to look at his ships in Lyme Bay.
It can be found by walking or driving from Swandown through the farm, heading towards the hotel. Before reaching the hotel car park there’s a cattlegrid and Admiral’s Seat is in the field up to the right just before the cattlegrid.
