This 16th-century coaching inn on the borders of devon, dorset and somerset still retains plenty of original features, including beamed ceilings and huge fires, which makes for a lovely setting if you are popping in for a pint of branoc ale, or making a beeline for the daily-changing menu.
Local produce drives the menu, whether it’s potted Lyme Bay crab, home-made West Country burger or Tytherleigh fish pie topped with Somerset cheddar mash.
